SASHA IS OFFICIALLY AND LEGALLY OUR SON!
We spent about 10 hours today in the car today. 7 hours of it finishing up paperwork. I think we only got out 3 times and the rest of the times German went in and finalize things. We left the hotel at 9 am and got to the orphanage at around 5pm. When we first got to the orphanage there were only 2 children outside. Keith and I guess they were new to the orphanage. We went to the orphanage director's office first and they called for Sasha. When he got there it looked like he had been crying. We have him his clothes to change in to and walked out with him. Once outside the office, he broke down. I hugged him and told him everything will be okay and that he was going to have a family and brother. He nodded that he knew. He went and changed clothes and we headed to the car. He cried on the way to the car but he hasn't cried since then. He seems happy now. We got to German's apartment at around 9 pm and had dinner. We read a Psalm and prayed for the first time together as a family. Then we watched a bit of a Russian cartoon that Olga gave him before all going to sleep.
LONG BUT SUCCESSFUL DAY! THANK YOU LORD!
